Bad News

I found out today that my dad died early this morning. It was peaceful in his sleep. he's been refusing to eat and he was due to have his feet amputated because of the damage done to them by his diabetes and he had another stroke last week.

Can anyone whose given me their addresses in the past please give them to me again only i've mislaid my address book hence the absence of a christmas card from us as yet.

she's in it today. unfortunately you can only vote by a post with a form in the paper or by texting which costs 50p. to vote for Dacia by text you have to text GM BABY 0013 to the number 65100. voting is open until midnight on the 24th.

Dacia update 20/11/o8

Dacia had her weigh in yesterday and shes now 16lb 12.5 oz. And just five minutes ago she hit another milestone when she sat up in her chair all on her own. she slumped forward a bit but she got herself up. i'm so proud of her.

They don'tr mention her by name, theres no pic and what I actually said was she had as good a chance as the other babies of winning and it would be nice to see her picture in the paper but never mind.At least we're in the paper.

Hello everyone

So sorry i'm falling so behind on replying to people. i will speak to you all soon i promise just everythings a bit chaotic at the moment. My my space is even worse. i'm over a month behind on that. Wish each day had more hours. Anyway just thought i'd give you an update on us in the meantime. Dacia had her jabs on wednesday and she was very brave. only a few tears. Now for bad stuff. My mum rang me to say my dad had gone crazy and started getting violent and it took 6 policemen to restrain him before they took him to hospital ( he's 82!!! 6 policemen seems a bit extreme) I had a phonecall from a member of my family yesterday saying my Dad was in a coma and was dying in intensive care. he'd been told by my brothers boyfriend. Well I rang the hospital and that wasn't the case. The nurse i spoke too even laughed at the suggestion but it is still bad. Then later on we were rung by both my mother and my uncle who both said dad was brain dead and could only have minutes to live. So I went to the hospital to see him. Basically he is dead in a way as his mind has gone. he's like a zombie. he didn't have a clue what he was doing, he was on autopilot. It was like his body was being worked by remote control. it was awful! I asked if he was likely to get better. she said it was too early to tell. But from what i've seen I think he's gone. his body might keep going but he's not there. really upset so apologies if it takes me a while to reply as this has knocked me for 6. Just finally got round to organising the christening too. I so want him to be there but in my heart i know that would take a miracle.

Dacia update 13/08/08

She had her second lot of injections today and she was as good as gold. she scarecly noticed the first one and only cried for a bit with the second. we went straight from the doctors to her weigh in and i think she thought the health visitor was another nurse as whenever she came near her she started crying and stopped soon as she moved away. she's gone up to 12lb 12.5 ozs now.

Dacia update 31/07/08

The health visitor has just been and Dacia now weighs 12lb 1/2oz. The health visitor says she's a credit to us. She won't be doing any more home viisits now I just have to take Dacia to the drop in clinic whenever I want. I'll probably take her every couple of weeks.
